England’s cricketer Harry Brook got bowled again by Varun Chakaravarthy for the second consecutive match in 2nd T20i between India and England.
Brook had previously blamed the smog in Kolkata for struggling to read Chakaravarthy’s variations in the first game. He got bowled by Varun again despite the clearer air in Chennai. Chakaravarthy bowled him with a googly on the third ball of his first over, sneaking the ball through the gap between Brook’s bat and pad to hit the stumps.
Brook’s earlier comments about Kolkata’s smog drew attention during the pre-match press conference when he expressed hope for better visibility in Chennai. However, his dismissal sparked trolling from both Indian and English cricket experts.
Ravi Shastri quipped on air, “You don’t need the smog, this has sneaked through.” Sunil Gavaskar joined in, joking about Chakaravarthy asking Brook if there was smog in Chennai. Even Michael Vaughan took to social media, sarcastically asking if the air was clearer in Chennai.
