AB de Villiers, the legendary South African cricketer fondly known as ‘Alien’ or ‘Mr. 360′ by fans, has hinted at a possible cricket comeback at the age of 40. Inspired by his kids’ encouragement, he stated, “I might still play cricket one day….”
Speaking with Melinda Farrell, de Villiers revealed that he wants to play casual cricket for enjoyment, although he has no intention of play in professional leagues like the IPL or SA20 tours.
Retired since November 2021 from all forms of cricket to focus on his family, de Villiers remains involved in the sport as a broadcaster, charity advocate, and content creation. He expressed his desire to keep the experience light and pressure-free, possibly spending time in the nets with his children or playing informal matches.
